Hi,
we live in Escondido, Ca (9b). I just got around to planting 5 Flaming Flag tulips that were sent (free gift)
with my order of bulbs, mostly daffodils, 3 weeks ago from either Breck's or Dutch Gardens....don't remember which.
I don't order tulips, as I haven't had much luck with them in the past.

I haven't kept the tulips cold, but they've been inside. I planted all five in a row ~3 inches deep in a ceramic
planter (6X6x16).

They a bit crowded.......~1.5inches apart, in Dr.Earth Potting Soil.....will that work?
(the info on the bag said to plant 4" apart).

Should I leave them outside in the sun until they come up, then bring inside to a sunny window?
Or just put inside a sunny window now? It's been 50-60F outside at night, 70-80F during the day.

I haven't watered them yet in case I need to re-plant them in a larger pot.

Will wait for your advice. Smiling
