I just saw this yesterday; sorry for the delay answering. I have H. citrina, multiflora, and flava which I got from the company McClure & Zimmerman a year ago. I was having problems with rust on the named cultivars I had previously bought and wondered if other species might survive here. H. citrina does well and is blooming this year and has no rust. H. multiflora has survived the past year but is not blooming. Their H. flava, however, has gotten rust, yet is did survive the year. None of these died back during our winter. I would be happy to try other species. My task now, however, is to search for resistant cultivars. Even those are often susceptible here in Miami or they are the dormant type and often fade away, and now I'll only buy those labeled as immune. Contact me directly at
