I was getting to the Photo Contest link through the Gardening News page, but now you have to search through "More Gardening News" to even get to this page. Since voting is about to begin is it possible to have a more direct link to the Contest than searching through all these pages? I think lots of people don't even know the contest is going on, and thus are less likely to vote, if it doesn't show up easily on the homepage. Thanks.

And Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Leslie,

It's my guess, that with everything else going on right now, that the decision was made that most everyone here knows about the Contest, has entered the Contest, or is already familiar with when the judging begins if they do not or did not enter.

To me, if that happens from year to year, I love my chain link: Thumb of 2017-11-23/TsFlowers/1eea79

Admin, Joshua, helped me to get it set up. I was so happy after having it set up, that I wanted to make a post in the Site Talk forum about it and getting it set it, but . . .

It's not real easy, but not real difficult either, but I can't even remember where the post was that Joshua gave me instructions.

With it, you can quickly access any link you've saved there from whatever page you are currently on. So I put in mine the 2017 photo contest, but that would have to be changed every year when the new link became available.:

This is what it looks like when you add a new link to it:

I'm not sure how others now Navigate to the Photo Contest?

Such a great utility, right? There have been several threads on it in different locations. One of them is how we got "Add links" added to the thing!

Glad you got it set up!

I go to Community, scroll down to Photo Contests & click on the one for 2017.

We should start voting soon! But you can still enter photos up until voting starts!

@TsFlowers, here's the post in the Site Talk forum that explains how to do it.

I know about links and such. And have mine all set up. I just wish the contests had an easy home page link. That way people could go and vote without having to set up a link on their personal pages. There are a whole lot of members that are not so tech savvy. I am trying to make it more user friendly for all of them. Before we were NGA it was easy to find the photo contest.

Maybe what you are saying is "more visible", as versus "easy to find". Because the 'Community' links can be accessed from the Home Page as well as any other page.

And I have found it true that wherever the user or new member is, someone will always try to help them.

Leslie, maybe they will post a link on the front page when the voting begins. Meanwhile, you should submit your avatar picture to the contest! Oh my! What a beautiful photo of such a beautiful creature! Lovey dubby
