I'm slowly coming to a point that the intrusions might be part of it, too. And have realized that some of my favorite "old" photographs have some kind of temporal marker in the.
By that I mean, a 2014 car in the driveway (in a garden shot) might be annoying today while a 1951 Chevey in the driveway, seen today, might be incredibly interesting. Akin to adding a scale to a macro shot - but not quite.
