Do the Eucomis you have grow enough in a single season to be considered suitable as an annual for you? I guess this really has a lot to do with how large the bulbs you start with are and where you're growing them.

If the bulb is large enough to produce a flower it can be grown as an annual (lives and dies in one season).
Nothing that's been done can ever be changed.
