What beautiful banner! Love the lighting & shades of color.
Creative cropping, too....I've never thought of rotating it.....great idea.

The rotating is very helpful. And the program I'm using (the online one suggested in the banner tutorial) enables you to not only rotate by 90 degrees in either direction, but also to manually rotate by very small increments so you can line up your elements in ways that work for banners.
