I am going to see if birds will use the cottony masses from Ipomoea albivenia seeds as nesting material.
Certain birds go for wool and the fluff from the Wild Cotton has similar texture, so it might work.

Yes indeed, here is a photo of a hummingbird nest made out of fluff from the Mexican Flame Vine flowers that had gone to seed. Both chicks survived very well
