Yes, Allison. I wintersowed balsam several years ago. No they reseed like crazy so I rely on volunteers to show up every year. I haven't sown any for several years.

I don't have a very good nose, but I never noticed a fragrance.

They're easy shade plants which can mix easily with coleus. There are tall varieties as well as a shorter one called Thom Thumb
