Tried to upload a photo of Nepeta tuberosa and it just stuck in upload so I retried several times yesterday. Logged out and in, uploaded other photos without problems.Rebooted. I tried again today with the same result. I am still able to upload other photos but none under Nepeta tuberosa. Is there a way to clear this up? It's a seedling photo and seed photo that are lacking in this entry that I want to upload. #Feeling dense!

Must be the speed at my end. Streaming movies works fine but I'm having intermittent connecting and uploading problems with this site. Other sites seem fine. I'm sure it will work itself out and in the mean time for everyone.

How large is the photo, as measured in bytes or kilobytes? I try to keep mine at about 300 kilobytes. I have to downsize my originals a lot to get them in the neighborhood of 300 kilobytes. For example, this one is 296 kilobytes on my computer.

That JPG file was created from a processed TIF file that was a whopping 89.0 megabytes, so a lot of downsizing was involved. The original raw NEF file was "only" 25.4 megabytes, so post processing had added a lot of megabytes to the TIF and shrunk that a lot for the JPG.

@HamiltonSquare - I have also had intermittent problems when uploading to this site. The problems have occurred recently. No problem connecting tho.

I have no idea what ZM said but will trust him.

I've loaded several today from 1 to 7.5 MB's no problem. The system works some magic on it's own for us. It was just one photo that refused and it was 1MB. I'll try to load them side by side here. Not working. Just cycling in "Uploading...."

Trying again without the problem photo.....worked just fine. Seems to be a problem I created trying to upload that photo multiple times after the first failure. Thats my best guess. I did get the bad photo to load as an entry without the photo earlier this evening. I asked for it to be deleted and it was declined because there is no photo. I did get an acorn for it though. So I'm good. P.S. The seeds are Nepeta tuberosa

@dave, the missing photo is still present as a blank space on HamiltonSquare's photo page. Can you delete it, please?
