Last year I used a wheel hoe to work my vegetable garden and looks like I will be using from now on. It wasn't as hard to use as I thought. Wondering if anyone here uses one and how you like it.

Here's a pic of wheel hoe. It's a lot different than the big wheel one folks used when I was growing up.

That is really interesting. I never saw one like that.

Didn't the big wheel model only have one wheel also?

Where did you find that model?

Yes, all the big wheeled ones I've seen have been single wheels. This one is from a company in Georgia called Hoss Tools. You can also purchase as a single wheel. I can convert my double to a single wheel, but so far haven't had a need to. To me, this one is easier to push, but them big wheeled ones have been around a long time.

Blinking Thanks for the source. I'll have to check it out. Planting time comes faster every year as I get older. Whistling

They look like the old planet jr. wheel hoes from early 1900's. Lots of attachments for them. You can look for a while on there web site.

The boss wheel Hoe is easy to use.
That's great news to me. I got a deluxe kit back in June, but unfortunately ! I had a stroke before I could even open the box.😟
I am currently in therapy, learning to walk all over again. A very slow process.
Thanks for info. It gives me more incentive to get better !👍👍😀

Philip, hope you will be back up and walking in no time. I've used the wheel hoe for 2 years now. I work a 32' x 80' garden with it. Last year even used it to work my 120' x 14 rows of corn. I got a few attachments for mine, some I haven't used yet.

It's great to hear it works well, Ed.
It's such a pain to break out the big o'l roto tiller in my small garden. Impossible to try to work around and between existing crops.
Sounds like I got the same kit as you with the double or single wheel option, offset and double blades of something like three kinds ?
I'm not sure if I'll use all of the three different blades either.

Do use the wheel Hoe to prep your garden for spring planting ?
