No, I didn't know of the name error but I don't think it's the Tradescantia virginiana. The plant I know as "Virginia Spiderwort" is clump forming and has very thin, slender, arching leaves, whereas the other one I purchased as Callisia congesta, has a trailing habit and broader leaves.

Not a match at all for the one I have called Callisia congesta, so I'm thinking it may be a different species of Callisia rather than Tradescantia.
