I can see the 'Purple Tiger' exoticism in this rose, beautifully captured by you. This is not your everyday flower. 🐯 🐯 🐯 🐯 🐯 Love it.

Very pretty banner!
According to this site, http://www.weeksroses.com/_Ros...
The talent of Jack Christensen really shows through in this extremely novel beauty. Not just every flower, but every petal is a varying masterpiece of amazing purple, lavender & white stripes, streaks, flecks, dots & dashes. Plus there's a powerful perfume of citrus blossom & rose. She's a little fussy to grow as roses go. But each blossom will convince you to keep up the effort. Best flower size...

A real winner! Thumbs up

ps- could you please post the full image? Smiling

Thanks folks for the Thumbs up and @Marilyn and @Fleur569 for the Acorn

@Whitebeard lol Sean - you are right, it is rather dramatic and just so you know, we live in the German part of Switzerland Big Grin

@EscondidoCal Cal, thank you for posting the quote and the link. The description of the blooms is spot-on and it is an absolute beauty when it blooms - that is the only reason I have kept my two plants so long. As for the fragrance, well, to tell you the truth, I have never noticed any! The most important part of the quote is 'She's a little fussy to grow as roses go'! In my experience, this is an understatement. Terrible BS and wimpy growth. I have lifted my two specimens and put them in pots. If they don't improve with an extra bit of pampering, this coming season will be their last!
IMO, this is definitely not a rose for a no-spray garden.
PS - don't have access to my photos right now - I will try and remember to post the original Whistling

@Sharlene,

"Terrible BS" = Terrible black spot?
Have you tried any systemic or topical Bayer products on it?

I may try growing one. Smiling

Cal - just a tip: you need to put my user name 'sunnyvalley' after the '@' to notify me Smiling

Yes - BS = Black spot and I do spray 'Purple Tiger'. I haven't tried Bayer but with other products available here in Switzerland.
