Hi. I hope this is an appropriate forum for my question. A group of us on different site are attempting to determine the location of the attached photograph.

Some think it was taken at Manhattan Beach, California, in the Los Angeles area. My guess, based on time spent visiting my father's relatives in the PNW, is that it was taken at Manhattan Beach, Oregon. That ground cover seems to be what I remember from those visits. I wonder if any kind soul can give an opinion as to what it may be, and the likelihood of it being local to California vs Oregon.

i believe you may be correct
i don't know of a mountain like the one in the pict near or south of Manhatten Beach in Calif
and there are still railroad tracks near the sand in Manhatten Beach Oregon.
Oregon is my guess but looking up and down google map i can not find a similar view
