While I can't grow freesias here, I think they should probably treated like other bulb and corm plants. I have moved bulb plants while in active growth, but the roots are brittle and easily damaged, which typically causes them to go dormant prematurely. That doesn't allow the foliage as much time to replenish the bulbs and can cause fewer or no blooms the following year.

Don't know if you are in the coastal side or inland area of San Diego county, so watch your temps and adjust watering as needed. It is a cool weather growing bulb, likes feeling cool and a tad damp but not waterlogged. Since leaves are out, just wait it out and do not move them.
