I'm reclaiming six and a half acres of land that was previously mixed Forest it got logged out and now I want to make a honey bee Oasis with honey bee friendly trees and honey bee friendly mixedground cover. The ground cover must also be cow and goat friendly. And non-invasive for the state of Tennessee.

Clover is a favorite of bees. There are probably some that are suitable or native to your state. Native Purple Prairie Clover, Dalea purpurea might be a good choice - good nectar and pollen plus purple is always attractive to bees. It can also be grazed by cattle and wildlife.

I second Clover. As an added bonus, it fixes nitrogen in the soil.

I would get in touch with your local extension service or native plant society. They may have seed sources and/or planting plans. Dandelions are good for bees as well.

You could try mountain mint, pycnanthemum species as part of a mix.

Good choice, Invaded, pollinators love everything Pycnanthemum! Thumbs up

Homeshow, you're right about Purple Prairie Clover but there are other clovers that stay much lower to the ground. Like others said, you probably want a mix to cover all year around...

White clover grows well here and in many parts of US. The bees love it all spring and summer. It's often used for animal forage. White Clover (Trifolium repens)
