I'm trying to figure out where to put pics of this one. I don't see it in the Cat of Life, or in our database, but I must be missing it. I see one labeled Billbergia Marbled Rainbow, but I was sure this was a Vriesea.

The Catalogue of Life doesn't list cultivars.

Could your Vriesea be a Neoregelia? The Vriesea genus is undergoing some name changes, with some species reclassified as species of Lutheria, Alcantarea, and other genera. The only similar name listed in the Bromeliad Cultivar Register is Neoregelia 'Marble Rainbow.' Bromeliad (Neoregelia 'Marble Rainbow') I don't know the source of our entry for Billbergia 'Marbled Rainbow,' but it's not listed in the BCR.

Thanks, Zuzu. I checked out the Neoregelia 'Marble Rainbow' and that one definitely isn't what I have. It's very red, and mine is just green, white and silvery. The Billbergia 'Marbled Rainbow' is close, but not quite right. I appreciate your time and effort!

Karen, do you have any documentation attesting to the name? A plant tag or something similar? Where did you get it? I can't find any sources for the plant on line. I'd like to create the entry for you, especially if you have photos and info to add.
