Lovely Narcissus, Larry! Lovey dubby
They are so nice to see after the cold temps we've had this winter.

Tiffany! Hilarious!

Tiffany was just agreeing with what Larry said in his first post...and providing photographic evidence. Rolling on the floor laughing

The Tulip Magnolias are gorgeous. More often than not, they seem to get hit by freezing temps a few days after opening their blooms in this area. Big, sad, mushy, brown blooms. Sad

Yes, I wanted to document that I did indeed SEE spring right around the corner. Not my pic, but wish I'd thought of it. People say that a million times every year. LOL!

Danita, I thought the same thing when I saw the Magnolias this week, "OH NO, another frost is coming"! But it looks like this will be one of those rare years when they don't get interrupted. They are stunning but too heartbreaking for me to consider putting one in our small yard. I think I've watched the blooms get ruined almost if not every year I've lived in AL (this is my 11th year here.)

I didn't take pics but white violets are starting to bloom in my yard & I see buds forming on the spiderwort. Unwanteds like chickweed & Geranium carolinianum are starting to sprout.

My Tulip Magnolias have had very good success over the years, but that is because they were protected by oaks. They were also kept restricted in size (I think due to the shade) but it could be a variety thing I guess. This year however they are not protected because the oaks have been severely trimmed up. I also severely trimmed the Tulip Magnolias, but hopefully there will be many more blooms coming in future years. Each year seems to be a not normal year as far as the weather here, one of the coldest winters in a long time, almost no winter last year, and apparently (hopefully)no heavy frost or freeze this spring.
