Thread OP

Moved over a year ago from upstate NY to SE Michigan and had to leave my collection of over a 100 different houseplants behind. Actually, I gave them all away. Now after quite a bit of house repairs at the new place, it's finally safe enough(roof repaired, broken windows fixed etc) for me to grow plants again. If I could just get some cuttings from any type of house plants(wandering Jews, spider plants, mother of thousands, ANYTHING!) I'd be eternally grateful and would be more than ready to send you in return cuttings later on for a particular plant or plants you might want and that I would then have grown large enough to take cuttings from. I live upstairs in my duplex so I get loads of sunlight. Had lived downstairs initially and nothing seemed to grow I had so little sun. I already have a good number of pots and potting soil to give anything you might send me a good home. Please! Please! Please! I'm rapidly approaching 70 and need more life around me to encourage me to pass 70 to get to 80. Thanks for reading. Crossing Fingers!

Hi @zenbuddha77. I would be happy to send you some cuttings when the weather gets warmer. Right now it is still too cold to mail plants from here.

Me too, I have lots, but I think it is a bit early to mail them they would get chilled, remind me in a few months, I bet I could cram a lot into a small USPS flat rate box!

Thread OP

Thank You! EVERYBODY! I hope you will all understand I had to put my love for houseplants on hold for just about this entire past year due to all the time I have spent volunteering at The Motown Movement and Focus Hope's Community Garden and their first year of having a weekly Farmers Market selling organically grown produce and other natural items like honey, homemade slices of bread etc.

At any rate, May 2nd is generally considered the last chance of frost here in Detroit, Michigan 48238 so I am guessing most who have any cuttings to send as well as myself to others will be able to do it safely anytime after that. Now all I have to find out is how I am suppose to give you my home address. Right here in the thread or in a private message to each of you?

And thanking everyone for the warm welcoming messages you have already sent.

Be well,
Tom I tip my hat to you.

I'd be glad to share in a few months, too, if you still have room by then!
