This may have been one of the many trees we got from the Arbor Day Foundation, or it may just be a volunteer; it's hard to say for sure. We do have a few volunteers in the back field since we've stopped cutting all but the walking trails. It's just a baby now, but it'll be an amazingly lovely tree one day, won't it?

Yes it will! If you read my comment on this tree (and the Sycamore), my dad/mom had two of these Oaks growing where I grew up and they were beautiful trees! We had lots of acorns too and they were special, neat and memorable to me!

The data available for this plant is very detailed and appears to be quite complete as well. I didn't know that we might soon expect to have acorns on the ones in the yard.
