I found these bulbs beside a creek but can't seem to find anything on them online, please help. They shriveled up quite a bit in just a few days after removing them from site. They look a bit like a small potatoes to me with light brown coloring, but please look for urself. I also found it odd that roots grew from top of bulb growing up towards surface and roots on bottom that grew just like any of bulb. Thank u for ur time.

Do you think these are a wild plant? I've seen Camassia growing wild near a creek here in central KY, and those do look similar. There had been some dozing and road work where I found them and I snagged a few unearthed bulbs and planted them in my garden. Disturbing them while in active growth kept them from blooming the following year, but the year after that they started blooming again.

Oh why didn't I recognize those? I have dug out and destroyed so many of them I must have blocked it out, LOL. They're considered an invasive here, my front yard is packed full of them.

Gemini_ sage A lot of people say that they takeover here in North Carolina too. I'm debating getting rid of them or putting them in isolated, contained bed, I'm not sure yet. Thankyou for your replys
