Yes, it is. But a very creamy one. David Silverberg saw this photo years ago and did not question it. My source for the iris was Superstition Iris Gardens back in 2001 and they seldom sell incorrectly id'd cultivars. I think in the photo it is just the effect of my very bright Texas sun when it was taken. The sun here tends to bleach out the color in real life as well as in a photo. However, I'm perfectly happy for the admins here to remove the photo if they believe it's questionable.

It's true mine never had quite that form. But the photos on the iris encyclopedia on the American Iris Society show form that is close to what I grew, though certainly with more contrast between the standards and falls than my photo depicts.

Even so, I would have no problem believing that your photo and mine are the same iris.
