OMGoodness! Thank you everyone for the kind words, and also for all the acorns!

These are last season's tulips (obviously). I dug them once they were spent, and then planted them again in the fall. I'm not seeing even a small sign of them yet, but it's early and I do have hopes.

Marilyn, yes! They are Darwin hybrids! They're called Tulip World's Favorite. They're supposed to bloom two or more years in succession without being dug up and replanted. We shall see if they do! https://www.whiteflowerfarm.co...

Thank you Leon, Jean and Stan. I hope you'll also like the pictures I just posted here. I hope they'll be poking up soon too! Riley just passed by. I'm hoping it's the last big storm of the season and that we'll have our spring flowers soon.
