According to the current CoL, Manfreda has been absorbed into Agave

http://www.catalogueoflife.org...

Some of the plants in our database follow this convention, others do not. See list here.

I'm thinking it would be nice to be consistent about these plants, which would require renaming a bunch of them.

Any thoughts?

You're right. The Manfreda genus is gone. I'll update our entries today. Thanks for finding this.

Thanks, Zuzu!

Here is a related comment on an image for one of these plants, which you might want to delete (the plant, not the image) after reading the details...

I've updated the entries, but Dave will have to get rid of the Manfreda Database entry and parent plant entry. In most cases, only the genus name changed. Manfreda potosina became Agave potosina, for example, but others changed on the specific level (Manfreda pringlei is now Agave debilis). The only one that might cause confusion in the future is this one: Manfreda maculosa is now Agave maculata, whereas Manfreda maculata is now Agave stictata.
