To day sowed seeds of Purple Shallots ,Arumugams egg plants and Long Bean Chinese Mosaic beans.
My planting mixture was coco peat soaked and washed mixed with Perlite in a 3:1 Ratio.,seeds are from Baker Creek
heirloom Seeds.
I am hoping that they would germinate and do well.

I grew those Chinese long beans one year just for fun and they did very well. I was lazy in the fall and just let them go to seed and now they grow back on their own.
Its such an interesting vegetable. Do you harvest yours when they are young? Mine seemed a little tough and I wondered if I'd let them get too long.

This is the first time I am growing Heirloom seeds. we have lots of birds lizards other bugs to deal with.
Egg plants are bearing fruits think seeds came from Baker creek seeds.
