I'm a newbie to Plumeria. Got a nice cutting from Oahu back in January. It had been growing nicely indoor in this harsh Philadelphia winter. The pot was getting too small and on the verge of tipping over, so I tried to repot the Plumeria in a larger pot. It was so difficult to get it out of the original pot, and I must have been getting a little impatient even thought I thought I was being very careful. Several long roots broke of, from the bottom, leaving only one. I was so upset, and have been trying to find a solution online. Somewhere mentioned using B-1 for root rebuilding. Another place mentioned the danger of root rot. I did water it a little more than usual after the repotting, since it was now a much bigger pot. The soil is moist, but I don't know if it's too much to cause root rot, but am too afraid to dig it up again to check it out.

My questions are:
1) Does my Plumeria have a chance of surviving this disaster?
2) What will happen to the leaves? They definitely look more wilted than yesterday. I need to be mentally prepared for this.
3) What can I do at this point?
4) If I do need to get B-1, what brand is recommended?

With so little roots, there is very little opportunity for the plant to take up water so definitely DO NOT overwater.
Keep it in an area where it gets bottom heat and it should make new roots soon, especially since this is the time of year they break dormancy and really take off growing again.
And I would cut off some of the leaves, it is having to work very hard to sustain them, and we want it to spend its energy on making roots now!

I am late to the conversation and new to the group. Super Thrive is fantastic to use as a tonic when Plumeria (and everything else) are repotted. It reduces shock and encourages new root growth. Moisture meters are cheap and help you avoid rot from over watering. It also looks like you might have spider mites, very common for plumies, which makes it even more important to remove the damaged leaves and throw them in the trash can. It is best to cut them, rather than snap them off, leaving a bit of the stem, it will fall off on its own later. Bayer Rose and Flower insecticide Spray is helpful to knock them out quickly. Some choose to use Neem oil instead. These are tough plants, it should be fine. *I am addicted to growing Plumeria. 😊 I know this is more than you asked, but I just quit Facebook and was having gardening talk withdrawals. Ha

I do want to add that I personally do not see any sign of spider mites in the pictures.

Thanks for the welcome. The leaves with the ashen, lighter color down the center look suspicious, but the resolution of the pics isn't great, and I'm hyper vigilant about them since I am a licensed grower. That's why I mentioned it "might".
