Thread OP

Hello all,

I recently had the pleasure of tasting both mandarinquat and limequat fruit, did some research and found that they are fairly cold hardy, and decided that I'd like to grow them. Unfortunately, I can only find California and Florida trees online, so they can't ship to Texas. I've called around the local nurseries in Austin and haven't been able to find either available for purchase. Does anyone know where I could buy either a mardarinquat or limequat tree in Texas?

Treesearch Farms in Houston has fruit trees, but the catalog isn't available at this time. You might try viewing the website and find a phone number. Looks like they sell retail and to the trade.

What did they taste like? What did they look like? Can you eat the whole thing like a kumquat?
