Mixed Darwin Tulips; 'Big Eartha' and 'Big Apricot

April 13, 2016 - Mixed Darwin Tulips; Coloblends 'Big Bertha' and 'Big Apricot' (with a reddish tulip sneaking in the banner). I got 25 Colorblends Big Apricot tulips and 25 Colorblends Big Eartha tulips, then mixed the bulbs up in a tub, planted them in the ground, so they'd have the "mixed blended" look and I loved the color combo!

I loved that beautiful combo of the two mixed together that spring. Wished I could have gotten more than 25 of each variety to mix together.

A few years ago, I thought I remembered reading in the Colorblends printed catalog that 'Big Apricot' was also known as 'Apricot Impression'. Two big and beautiful Darwin Hybrid Tulips.
