What are the differences between Periwinkle and Vincas?
Can they be pruned?

from me too.

"Periwinkle" is a common name for both Greater Periwinkle (Vinca major) as well as Lesser Periwinkle (Vinca minor) AND the non related Vinca (Catharanthus roseus)

Both are evergreen ground covers. V. major is about 2' tall and V. minor is pretty much ground-hugging. Their flowers and foliage are the same, except one is larger than the other. Both can be invasive in certain regions, so you will want to check that out for your location. Warm welcome from the Pacific NW.
