Hello everyone! I just joined, and already have a question:
What are the differences between Periwinkle and Vincas?
Can they be pruned?

Welcome! @Caribbeanflower!

You've actually posted this in the thread for the NARR which is a very special thing, but not really the best place for this question. Try the Ask a Question forum for better exposure, and you'll probably get several replies. https://garden.org/apps/ask/

And keep an eye out for the next NARR! It's lots of fun.

Hi Caribbeanflower, Welcome! from me too.

"Periwinkle" is a common name for both Greater Periwinkle (Vinca major) as well as Lesser Periwinkle (Vinca minor) AND the non related Vinca (Catharanthus roseus)

Both are evergreen ground covers. V. major is about 2' tall and V. minor is pretty much ground-hugging. Their flowers and foliage are the same, except one is larger than the other. Both can be invasive in certain regions, so you will want to check that out for your location. Warm welcome from the Pacific NW.
