I agree
WOW! What an amazing display! Thumbs up

Clematis is one of my favorite vines. The flowers are just elegant.
I've never had one put out so many blooms, though. How old is that plant?

Could you post the whole image? Smiling

Sorry, I've been away for a bit--
here is the pic it came from
Thumb of 2018-05-02/dirtdorphins/2fba3a
it's probably 5 or 6 years in that spot--it had a good year last year Smiling maybe after all of the snow we had last winter, it got a good long drink?

I planted another one with it at the same time and it hasn't done much since, so I really can't take any credit for getting this one to grow like that Shrug!
Thankfully, most of them do take off after a while and put on a good show Thumbs up

I just positioned mine in hopes they don't get lost among the ground cover, hostas, and spirea. I find it an interesting woody viney plant. Your photo shows such balance among the flowers, like they are growing horizontally. That is what captured my eye.

@dirtdorphins,

Would love to have a wall of clematis blooms, but too hot & dry here.
I have some growing into roses. I think I may need to put one in a
decent sized pot for best success.

Yours are outstanding. Thumbs up
