We have several new members participating in our upcoming plant swap. We're excited to have them and to meet them. But, they have a slight problem in that they may be new to gardening, and really don't have anything to list in the swap. As a result, they don't get any tickets. Reasons for not having something to offer could be as simple as having moved into a new house and not knowing what they currently have in over abundance.

I have suggested to them that they add something, even if it's a packet of seed, so that the system will start giving them tickets.

I would like to propose what I hope would be a minor change to the swap tool. It would be a yes/no option for the swap host that tells the system to give all participants tickets, whether they have listed something or not.

I think having the option would allow greater participation by new members.

Your thoughts?

Telling them to add a placeholder item is the right solution. The requirement to have a list before you get tickets is hard coded into this feature and can't be lifted.
