Paul, those are beautiful photos! I'm thinking there may have been a typo in the name on the tag when you got your bulb, though... I'm pretty sure this is 'Elvas' with an "a." I only noticed because I have one blooming now and a friend asked what cultivar it was... She thought I said "Elvis" like "Elvis Presley" and was bummed when I spelled the name out for her.

At least with the amaryllises, I know most of them are named varieties, and I (sort of) remember the names that I've ordered... so I do have some chance of IDing them when they bloom. I'm taking photos with numbered tags (sequentially as I get blooms) and adding names to the tags and to the photos as I figure them out.
