This is posted also in the cactus and tender succulent forum. It was suggested I post it here as well. So here it is:

I bought these 3 small containers last week. The two white ones are labeled "Sedum spathulifolium purpureum Carnea" and the purplish one is labeled "Sedum 'Capo Blanco' /Sedum spathulifolium"

Are they reversed maybe? I grew Sedum 'Cape Blanco' or 'Capo Blanco' for several years and while occasionally under stress it would tinge pinkish to reddish, it was never quite as purple as the one in the photo. I haven't grown 'purpureum Carnea'.

Other than the foliage color, the two plants look the same. They both have CactusCollection.com Vista, CA as the origin and identical description and wording on the labels aside from the names.

A note/question. A search on Google brings up several sites that use the spelling 'Capo Blanco' in lieu of 'Cape Blanco'. I found that when I grew it prior to now. But that wording is not in the NGA database. Shouldn't it be added as a synonym?

It would not be a synonym, as it is just a typo. It was named 'Cape Blanco' for the area on the coast of Oregon where it was found.
The tags do appear to have been switched. Very nice plants.

One more question. They appear to just be a variant of the same plant. Would that be correct?

Yes, a different form of the same species. I have seen several forms in the wild here in Oregon. The coastal one, and two inland forms. One along hwy I-5.
