Actually this Leonotis is L. nepetifolia var. nepetifolia 'Staircase' which is described as growwing 6 to 10 ft tall (from T & M Seeds), a half hardy annual. My experience with L. leonurus is only 3 to 3.5 ft tall, more flowers and not available as seed (got from Logee's - perennial plants only).

Yes, photo taken on a quite sunny afternoon last fall.
