hey everyone! total n00b re plumeria here and have somehow ended up with a varied bunch of plumeria seedlings , cuttings and small trees . its headed toward winter here in new zealand - I live in a subtropical part of it - and my three small trees are showing what is either claws or inflow and I was hoping someone might recognise which ? Im thinking its likely to be leaves at this time of year , but am hoping......they're inside plants for the cold season since they were greenhouse raised and I can put them in a warm sunny spot by window .
will it still lose all its leaves if inside ?
would be so grateful for any comments , hints, tips or links !~ have also joined a facebook group for help and suggestions

They look like new leaves to me. I keep my plumeria in a greenhouse during the winter and eventually they lose almost all of their leaves as I slow down the watering. A few will keep some leaves all winter but not many.

thank you Michael , appreciate that . am really nervous with them was thinking it must be leaves forming but had hopes . I'll just have to learn to be patient !

At that stage, I can never tell for sure whether it's new leaves or an inflo forming but our Plumie expert @Dutchlady1 will surely know! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, in hopes that it's the beginnings of an inflorescence!

This is an old picture and I no longer have Plumeria trees but I think the inflo is forming in the center of the new leaves.

The tips are not developed enough to tell whether you have leaves or buds coming. You'll know soon, though.
It varies so much by area too! I just spent a few days on the southern California coast and they are just starting to get leaves. In Florida we already have tons of blooms!
