Keep Your Tomatoes off the Ground

Using wooden stakes or dowels is a great way to support the limbs of your tomato plants to keep them off the ground.

I was always frustrated with the cages for one reason or another. Then two years ago I saw photos Patti posted of her rows of tomatoes. That gave me the idea of using the fence and stock panels and the wooden stakes to support the tomato branches. We've been doing it for two years now.
