I've just rototilled a large area to start a perennial bed. I could take some suggestions on plants for the perennial bed to be used for floral arrangments to go with annuals. I thought of Phlox and maybe Gooseneck Loosestrife. Does Echinacea work for cut? Thoughts?

Delphinium, Astrantia, Foxglove, Lupins, Asters, Astilbe, Gysophila, Monarda, Campanula, Liatris, and yes Echinacea. I'm sure there's lots more! Hurray!

Good advice from others. I would not plant gooseneck loosestrife as it can be quite invasive.

Echinacea make good cut flowers. I would add some Mums so you have something for the Fall.

I tried mums. I had about 20 plants. Only 2 survived the winter. I'll definitely try Echinacea.
