I need to add this series, I tried to add the Amaretto one, and I can't get past step 2< I have no idea why. Can anyone else add this? I think we should be able to add something even if not all the info is there, it can be added in later-at least the plant entry will exist that way.

According to the above link, the following cultivars are available. I can't find the Amaretto in the database, so I assume the others may not be there either?




The 2018 Summer Spice Hardy Hibiscus collection will offer the following cultivars:

– Amaretto, coral-salmon.
– Ambrosia, fuchsia with white eye.
– Bleu Brulee, sky blue.
– Brandy Bleu, blue, Cordon Bleu, blue.

– Grape Sorbet, purple, and Plum Flambe, light plum.

@Frillylilly I just tried and didn't have any trouble adding 'Amaretto'. Once you've added the Accepted name and then the Cultivar name, you have to add a link to a business showing the plant for sale so that administrators can be sure it's legitimate.

Did you get any type of message that wouldn't allow you to proceed?

It's actually a little more complex in this case. If you want it to be listed in the Hardy Hibiscus Database, you have to add the species (Hibiscus moscheutos). Summer Spice™ is a trademarked series name, so:

the common name is Hardy Hibiscus
the botanical name is Hibiscus moscheutos
the series is Summer Spice™
the trade name is Amaretto
the cultivar name is Summer Spice Amaretto

Hybrid Hardy Hibiscus (Hibiscus Summer Spice™ Amaretto)

You have to enter a botanical name, even if it's just the genus.

You have to enter a cultivar name.
