Thread OP

Hello,

I'm in a new construction home that is 4 years old. I'm in search of foundation shrubs (maybe 4 feet tall max) for my west facing home. I've had a landscaping company do the front and everything worked well except the knockout roses which did beautifully but did not come back the next spring. We tried again, same result. Currently we have dwarf boxwoods in front, a small dogwood tree to the side, some red husker penstemon under the tree, and a hydragnea. The space that needs filled is probably 5 ft by 10 ft and sits behind the boxwoods. Any ideas? My house is a medium green color with brick on the bottom.

Drift roses would look great there. They max out at about 3 feet tall and bloom until frost.

Welcome! Welcome! My west garden has ornamental grasses in the back with daylilies and other perennials in front. I also have ninebarks that work on the west side and a couple Dwarf Korean lilacs for spring color. Are you looking for color?
