Howdy Chicken Farmers,
Today, I'm setting 22 fertile eggs in my Brisea Octogon Eco incubator. This isn't my first rodeo with hatching eggs; however, it is my first time using the incubator in July.
My question relates to the humidity factor. Because we are using AC 24/7 here in AZ, I thought it'd be best to fill both channels with water. Typically, this isn't done until Lockdown on Day 18. However, since we are in AZ with full air conditioning, do you think this is a wise move? In the past, I've had to add water through the vent hole via straw, and I'm just wondering if adding more water at setting would help alleviate those worries.
Any suggestions? I just set them two hours ago, so no foul, no harm should an adjustment need to be made.
Thanks for your advise!
Gina
