This image strikes too much with how now it looks after the heavy rains.
And initially it was deep burgundy in the spring when I got it and the texture is identical.
The huge rosette size also corresponds to the description

What i have noticed it is also looking almost identical to Thor's Hammer.
Then later I have seen that sempervivum-liste.de suspects Thor's Hammer is Packardian.

It would be interesting to see Thor's Hammer and Packardian grown side by side for a couple of years. It really does look like it could be the same semp.

I got on order 2 Packardian small adults and 1 Thor's Hammer chick, this was the max quantity I could find for sale at this time.
And I got my "NOID" chicks, the supposed Packardian.
We will see how everything goes, first I have to receive the plants.

I have not even requested anyone to identify my NOID.

I was frankly quite happy to find what I believe the identification of the NOID, after doing lots of purchases and mainly using sempervivum-liste.de to sort of check how everything I was seeing for sale looked, especially since with many cultivars the sellers post only 1 photo and there is not much info of size or parents.

This topic has been made into it's very own thread. A discussion on both 'Pacardian' and 'Thor's Hammer'.

Interesting subject.

Would also like to see this comparison of growing the plants side by side. Would also like to get Packardian, an impressive semp, added it to my want list.
