Is there a way to keep day lily foliage green after they finish blooming? This is for zone 5 and includes the wild orange ones.

Welcome!

A lot of people cut back the foliage on those daylilies that get ratty looking after flowering, making them grow new fresh leaves. I wouldn't do that with any daylily planted this year or that is suspected to be iffy for winter hardiness, but that's not an issue with the naturalized orange Hemerocallis fulva 'Europa'.

Welcome! Sooby gives good advice! Trim back the really ugly parts, give a little extra water if you want.
