This green leafy vegetable has to be one of my all-time favorites for a number of good reasons. If you've never tried growing it, there's no time like the present. It's perfect for spring planting, amazingly easy to grow, and very resilient.

If I could grow only one thing it would be Swiss Chard!
It grows happily up here all summer long.

I always cook the stems first for a few minutes before adding the greens, and I always sautee in olive oil, and add a tad of garlic. This is one of my top favorite vegetables!
