Reposting for better exposure.
Just noticed this on my new Siam Red. I guess I was excited to see the only one there at the show at that price and didnt notice this on the graft. Probably why the price reduction? Is this a good candidate for wood glue filler? Or should I just leave it? Its a dry socket.

@ShadyGreenThumb Cheryl I just filled in the hole on my new cutting 2 days ago and it looks much better to me. I think I would fill in that hole too if it was me. You may need to do it in 2-3 steps since the glue tends to run.
If you want another variegated plumeria ask Josh at Twisted Tropical when he will get some more shipped. Very reasonable prices. Your Maya is very nice.

I agree fill that hole in with some wood filler.

I love this idea. My glue is not waterproof but it is water resistant. I am doing it in layers as you can see how deep the hole is. Had I known, I would have used real wood filler.

If it's water resistant it will get very soft when it's wet. It might run out if the hole is tipped that way.

Hmmm Maybe I will scrape it out and replace it with Durham's Wood Putty?

Why don't you leave it until you see if it's a problem. It might be fine. If it softens and runs out you can always do the wood putty then.

I don't think it will soften to the point of flowing back out. I have used Elmer's Wood Stabilizer that is water resistant. It dries clear but in the rain it turns white again, yet stays hard. Then back to clear when it dries off. I suspect this would happen with water resistant wood glue? Plus the hole is deep. I am having to layer it on. So hopefully, if it were to get wet, the layers below won't be affected? Crossing Fingers! I don't want the wood to get wet at all.
