On different web sites I read contradicting statements about Pelargonium citrosum. Some say that it is edible like Pelargonium graveolens, while others (including this web site) claim that it is poisonous.

In fact, I happened to flavor my herbal teas every now and then with P. citrosum leaves, and I am still alive (I don't dismiss the possibility that my pelargonium might actually be P. graveolens).

Anyway, does anyone know about this for sure?

It is listed as not toxic on the California Poison Control System.
It has been reported as toxic to dogs and cats.

A small amount to flavour teas should be okay.
It is not used in large quantities, as in a salad.
