Color Echoes is a popular thread on the Perennial forum.
I thought it would be nice to have a thread here.
I use annuals in my containers and from time to time I grow them with perennials.
You are welcome to post any echoes you have in your gardens, join me.

Coleus and planter echoes.
Identifications are on image.
The caladium with Green Beans is my daughters folly.
If my May planters have so much a one square inch of bare soil ,she puts green bean seeds in them.

gel beautiful coleus collection. Don't ya wish they would last for next season.
To overwinter coleus, cut 3- to 4-inch tip cuttings from healthy plants. Remove the bottom set of leaves, dip the cut end in rooting hormone and place the cutting into a pot filled with a soilless mix. A 6-inch pot can accommodate 12 cuttings.

Do the same for geraniums, fuschia , chrysanthemums and many others...

Next season plant cuttings in circle in desired pot then by May the whole pot is loaded and ready to bloom for another season! Hurray!

I used to keep cuttings but age and disability made me quit.
I do take cuttings from new plants in spring when they have been in pots for a couple of weeks.

I get it totally after we get a bit up in age... I'm 70 and do have difficulty gardening. I hope you feel well today and thank you for all your gardening tips and pics.

I remember 70. I can't believe I did as much gardening then as I did.
We bought this big house for the inlaw suite.
Gardens came the next year.

I am a restless person and would drive my daughter and son in law nuts if I didn't have this big project.
I am shrinking the garden starting this June.

Gel that pic is quite a huge change from the origional sight. Love all the variables plants soil hard scape materials and nice color. It sounds like you are a bit older than I and still out gardening. I admire that your still at it. It just goes to show ya that having a green thumb and creative energy has quite a hold on us . I love to garden and at any age we can tackle any thing! Help is now a biggie for me and lucky to have help especially in fall. The leaves ...YIKES!

I have been editing my 3 acre garden for the last few years. Not many new plantings or growing much from the greenhouse, which I truely miss.
Have had both hips replaced And still movin!

I still love to tinker around. Some days I can't imagine how long it takes me to do one little thing. I am grateful that I have my garden and can still do some gardening.
