Curious as to what everyone does when starting Brug seeds? The last ones I started, I soaked and then removed the corky outer casing.
What process do other use. Have heard mixed thoughts on this.

Welcome back, Rick! I haven't grown brugs from seed, so I hope others will chime in.

Yes, it has been sometime since posting and not because I do not enjoy it here. Just seems that time flies by and now w all my plants outside and enjoying summer heat. I have started Burgmansia seeds many years ago, seed from an acquaintance and they did really well. Much like the Adeniums (and others Genus) they also do not come true to seed. This is something that does not bother me.
The first time I started Brug seeds. I removed the outer corky casing. Just curious if this is a preferred way, as I see that many just plant w the cork on seeds.
Glad to see you are still here, Karen. Always enjoy your comments and info brought to this site.

*Blush* Thanks, Rick. I always have enjoyed your comments and expertise. Come back when you have time. Summer is busy for most of us.

I grew several different colors a few years ago that were given to me and just planted them. I ended up with a pretty good germination rate and had way more than I needed. I had some seed left over that I forgot about and planted them a year later. They also grew very well.
Eventually I gave up on the seedlings because they were white fly magnets that I didn't want in the greenhouse. I still have some planted in the yard.
