Thread OP

Something is eating (or making drop) the leaves on a number of plants in my yard. It started with my desert willow. It was going strong and one day I noticed it was stripped of leaves, which now lay on the ground around the plant. This morning I went out to water my little blue palo verde sapling... barely a leaf on the branches. Yesterday... yes, yesterday, it was fully leaved. I see no bugs on the plant. The leaves aren't yellowing or anything. I noticed one pathetic leaf that seemed to be hanging by a small spider-web.

Any clues? And, if you know what is doing this do you know how I can protect my plants in a non-toxic way?

Thanks for any help.

Hi Barbara

I wonder if it is catipillars? This time of the year I start getting very large tobacco horn worms that strip the leaves off of my Cape Honeysuckle bushes. Crying
