Getting error messages when I try to post plant pictures, is there a how-to-post thread anywhere? Thank you

You are using the "Upload an image" button down below the lower left corner of the reply box and receiving the error message? What does the error say?



Hmm, it worked ok for me... What type of error message are you getting? The process is pretty straight-forward. Click the "Upload an image" button and it should open up a window for you to search through folders for an image that you want to upload. Double-click on the image should start the upload or either you can highlight the image with a single-click and then press the "Open" button at the lower right side of that window. That should do it...from a Windows computer. I'm not sure what to say about a Mac or Linux computer but I would imagine it would work much similarly.

On my iPhone it basically has the same interface (Upload and image button), but then brings up choices for places to find the photo you want to upload...follow the prompts.

I have a Mac. I can no longer upload any pictures to it altho up until recently I could. I get an error msg. that says 'an error occurred and the website was x' Sorry, bad memory. x = redirected or was reloaded. End result is that I can't upload a picture. Previously I only had a problem with tagging.

Using my iphone allows me to upload pictures but I still can't create tags. It is very annoying.

I wish I could tell you what was going on on the Mac side of the street, but I have to plead Mac ignorance (though I do know a little about Big Mac's ). Hopefully one of the administrators will read these posts and get one of the tech folks to look into what the problem is.

Lucille, are you trying to upload photos to the plant database when you get the error message?

I use a MacBook Pro and I've never had an issue with uploading photos to threads or to the plant database.

Like TxFlowerChild I have a Mac and get a message that an error occurred and the website is being reloaded. Thank you for the step-by-step, Intheswamp, those are the steps I use.
Not trying to get to or post in the database, was just trying to post pictures of my houseplants in the 'Show off your houseplants' thread.

Like Lucille, I also can't upload a picture to a discussion in any of the forums either. Or sometimes I can. The only thing that's new is my iphone and it's software. I can do some date checking if possible. Maybe I can track what has or hasn't happened when. I do know that using the Mac pre new phone I couldn't tag pictures.

Well if us Mac users can't post pictures so the world can see our plants, the only solution is to hold giant parties where the community is invited so they can see.

I'm extremely technically challenged but I'm a Mac user and I have no problem uploading photos; I use both Firefox and Chrome. I wonder if it could be an issue with the browser y'all are using?

With my IPad and IPhone, I always have to click the upload button twice to bring up the option to add a photo.
