Can you help me with the variety of my variegated brug - Peach and cream, snow bank , maya or something else? The flower is white. Thanks.

I have Peaches and Cream from Brian's Botanicals and it does look like that but I am not 100% certain. Look at his website for a comparison to yours.

I thought it is peach and cream but all the flowers I see on the internet are yellow that's why I have doubts about its id. On Brian's botanicals website, it states 'the flower blooms yellow and turn orange'. The flower on mine is more white but I can see it is yellowish tainted. I will see if it turns to more yellow /orange. Probably the color affected by my grow environment?

Mine blooms white and turns yellow too. I did purchase it directly from Brian so unless he made a mistake that is what I have. Here is a picture but I can't find pictures of the blooms. I had probably 20 blooms a couple of weeks ago and some bug ate all but two of them off the plant. I do have some more coming soon.

Your plants are pretty tall. What is the size of their pots? Mine is less than 3 feet tall and I have to keep moving it to bigger pot. I think mine could been 'maya' as the description of flower is white and develope into peachy color when it matures- exactly what the flower of mine does.

I think they are 14 inch pots. Now they are around 7 foot tall. Originally I planted them in the ground but they just didn't grow very well so I dug them up last year and potted them and kept them in the greenhouse last winter. I don't have room in there this year so I will cut them back and store them somewhere. I might plant them again next spring. They are winter hardy here.
I will take pictures when they bloom again for comparison to yours. I don't think they were that pink but I could be wrong.

The flower pods. Should bloom in a few days if nothing eats them this time.

Brugs do seem to be bug magnets. I can never keep even the leaves decent. They're always full of holes.

I agree Karen. I did spray these with the Bayer 3 in 1 after most of the last flower pods got eaten and it seems to have worked so far.

When I had them that's all that would help the 3 in 1, finely got tired and got rid of them. Although at times I think about getting them again. Just can't forget the aroma so wonderful.

They do have a wonderful aroma! I have 4 of them outdoors for the summer. They have lots of leaves but so far no blooms. It's getting late, so they may not bloom for me outside. I'm getting tempted to trash them. They're a lot of work for very little joy.

Karen not an expert on them but I do remember in my area almost same as yours. Mine bloomed in very early spring in greenhouse then once again in mid fall before going back into greenhouse. Once it cooled off more and I kept the greenhouse door closed well at night the next morning opening it was a true treat of aroma.

Also you and I like plants that are not from are area of the country. But worth the try.

True. I do love their scent when it fills the greenhouse. I guess I should keep at least one for the fragrance. Other than that, I'm very tempted to ditch them.

First day of Peaches and Cream bloom. Pretty much pure white.

@emddvm thanks for the pictures. I know there is no reason to have doubt for the id of your brug, but its flower color is like mine exactly, it is pure white and then developing to peach the second or third day. Which fits the discription of maya

Wish somebody with peach and cream can show us a picture to compare.

Brug is a pretty easy and one of my favorite plants I would say. On top of its variegated leaves and fragrant flowers, I can just store it in my basement in winter, it does not occupy any prestigious window space :).

Second day of bloom and the rest of the plant. I just don't know for sure on the identification. It is pinker than I remembered. If you are interested contact Brian at Brian's Botanicals and he may have more info.

It's a very pretty bloom even if it ends up a NOID.

The second day's color is different from mine. My is peach but still has some white in it but yours are totally pink? I also see the buds are yellow (mine too) wondering how come when they are opening the flowers change to totally white.
