We have a small certified Florida farm winery, Old Oaks Vineyard growing a couple types of grapes. We had an 1/2 acre pond created here 18 years back and for a period of time it wouldn't clear & we were staying away from adding chemicals-still was great for swims, small paddle boat, easy way for dogs to cool in the summer and have barbeques./picnics...couple of months back working on material related to phytoremediation and connected the dots -hey, why not make the east pond more attrative for folks and birds/butterflies-saw the sale at PondMegaStore (FL) and placed an order so after the contractor does some work (lower a lip that is around the pond-only doing one quadrant...other stuff too)-I'll plat Longwood canna, firecracker plants, green taro, mare's tail and some water lilies as wanvisa-how about a subject of freshwater ponds/backyard constructed wetland or vineyards? thank you, Bridget Keegan

Getting the lip on the 1/2 acre pond down-contractor had a problem with his equipment so hopefully he'll be back shortly-worrying a little about the water lilies,more worry about the firecracket plants, the longwood canna are doing fine the green tero ok-got all in semishade in tube shrugs until the soil from the pond is moved-got a patch of farm that can use the soil-starting to toake pictures which I'll post down the road.
